IFSS 2009 centred on the issues facing the global financial services industry - focusing on financial regulation, hedge funds and the future of financial services. It is the premiere meeting for decision makers in the financial services industry in Ireland and Europe.
The global business environment has seen an unprecedented period of turmoil over the last 18 months with 2009 being a watershed year for change. The financial market landscape changed dramatically. However, there is now a growing consensus that a global economic recovery is in the making, albeit the pace will be tepid and restrained. With each crisis comes opportunity and consequently there is going to be many lucrative areas of growth in the future.
The IFSS 2010 will focus on the impact of this change specifically new regulation as a result of the crisis. It will also address the sectors that will potentially prosper in this new environment and highlight the significance of Asia as a major player in financial services.
